Help !!!!!

Hi all,

I need some help regarding Ballast.

I have 2 32W 48'' T8 and 2 30W 36'' T8 bulbs.
I want to connect the 32 together and the 30 together.
So I figure I need 2 ballast ( I know I sometimes am real cleaver lol)

1, What kind do I need
2, Do I need starters?
3, And finally where do I get that stuff from?

I think by now you know I am not good at electric at all

What are you trying to do? The ballasts will only start their rated bulbs, building a lighting system from scratch (buying ballasts and the caps can get expensive). I did a custom hood for my 55gal planted and I was going the same route you seem to be.
My best advice would be to goto your local hardware store (Home Depot) pick up 2 48" dual bulb shop light fixtures for $6 each. Cut off the reflectors on the side and use the part with the ballasts and the ends in them. They may be rated for 36watt bulbs but will start 40w bulbs with out a problem.

Yep that's pretty much what I am doing.

I also have thought about to buy a fixture at HD and use the part's.
I will lock into that again.
