View Full Version : CO2 Tubing?

I see that some companies are selling CO2 proof tubing; they say that it makes a big difference in lost CO2. Compared to regular or silicon tubing, its really expensive though. Is this important or only something you have to worry about if your running a mile long line?

It's not a big deal...regular Si tube is fine.

Polyethylene and polypropylene tubing like that sold for ice makers has almost zero loss. Silicone tubing has increasing loss and degradation over time. Silicone is MUCH easier to work with as it is flexible and you can always replace the short piece every so often. If you want to set it up and not think abou *** again I suggest on of the plastics.
