So far so good! I got the stand together, or at least the frame is together and holding. I got my hands on a used 55gal that as of now holds water (for the last several hours), but the dill-hole who had it before cut the middle brace off. So I had to make one with a 2x4 and a router and cut a few notches, without it the tank had almost a 1/2 inch bow in the middle, now it is down to nothing.
I love these DIY projects, since i started with the co2, then to the lighting for my planted now this... i need some more ideas what else can I make, guess a wet-dry filter is next since I need a new filter for my planted and move the 2 from that to the grow-out tanks.
Today:
stand: $26 in lumber and screws.
55gal tank: $45
not bad so far... Heaters new filter and second 55gal is going to hurt I think.
Tomorrow I will add some trim and a door to cover the lighting, and to keep the dog from drinking out of it.
