Hellow everyone. I am still getting everything together for my 125. I'm going to try BB. I need some heaters. I am planning on going with 2 proheat titanium. Total water volume with sump will be around 140gallons. My return pump will be turning the total water volume over approx 4X per hour. Will 2 350watt heaters 700 watts total be enough, but yet not too much that it will cook the fish if one of the heaters sticks on. I was figuring on 5watts per gallon.

Sounds good to me.

That should do it. I have a 125 with a 300w heater in it, but it is warm out here in LA so it doesn't work hard. I think you will be fine.

Hi,
The size of the heater required depends on
1. Size of the tank
2. temperature of the air in the room surrounding the tank
3. other factors may include air movement, filters, covers, lights

A general rule is to have 3 to 5 watts per gallon for every 10 degrees F above room temp that you wish to have the water temp.
So you will be very close to what you need unless you need to go above 90F, then you may need a bit more watts.
