Using Goldfish are large carriers of ich and Bacterial infections. I would avoid using them to cycle your tank. Instead be safe and use this method.

Yes, fishless cycle with ammonia is best. It takes about as long as cycling with goldfish, but there is no worry of diseases AND you can build a much larger bed of good bacteria in the same amount of time.
