What does everyone think is the proper amount of adult Discus in a 75 gallon barebottom tank that has daily waterchanges done? Currently I have 8.

Sounds about right to me. I don't like to crowd adults.

I think 8 is a great number for a 75 gallon tank. Is your tank bb?

I have to agree with the rest, 8 is a good number. However, if you are religious about water changes and keeping things clean...you can have more adults in a 75 gallon. For instance, I have several 75 gallon tanks and each have at least 9 adults in them. I do 40% WC each day and feed about 3 times a day.

my rule of thumb is.....1 adult fish per 8 gallon of water.

but then again, i don't usually follow it. lol :)
