NEED ADVISE

my discus have eggs .2day is third day, i saw tails comin out of the eggs.wat should i do next ?should i change water it quite dirty .can any 1 tell mi coz i new 2 discus..... THANKS IN ADVANCE ???

Yes, you can do 15% water changes. It's best to have the tank really clean when they first lay the eggs. The parents will do everthing else. When the babies are 4 or 5 days freeswimming start hatching baby brine shrimp eggs to feed them.

When the babies are no longer stuck to the breeding cone and are swimming about the tank they are called free swimming. That is also counted as their birthday. When fry are called 9 days old it is not from the day the eggs were laid, but from the day they went freeswimming.

Why do you think they are dying? Are they not attaching to the parents?

u r rite, Carol ..... they r not attaching 2 parents . they gather around at d surface ! 1 ting i can b sure of there enough air in d water .CAROL is there anyway 2 solve tis ???????? :( :( :( :(

Clean tank and filters really good before next spawn. Make sure there is enough air, but not too much current for babies. If problems next spawn you may need to add 1 drop formalin per gallon after eggs are laid. Add med only one time
