One of my young leopards died yesterday. Found it horizontal on the gravel in the morning. It righted itself soon after and looked Ok for a while. Late afternoon it darted from end to end of the tank, turned black and died. ???
The others in the tank look good. Hope it doesnt spread.

At least that is better than losing the whole tank!! The only good thing about it is getting replacements.

Only to a domestic tho, never a wild.

I sometimes wonder if fish die like that because of an injury that we're not aware of. I mean, they do live in a glass box full of water. They dart and sometimes they jump. I'm sure I'm not the only person who has heard a discus hit the tank lid. I had one jump out 3 wks. ago, landed on the carpet. I picked it up and returned it to the tank immediately. It died the next day :(, a nice female pb.like a solid orange. The fish was fine for almost 2 years. I figured it would be OK because it landed on the carpet...wrong!! Guess is was just its time to go :-\
