Need advice

Hi everyone,

Is it ok to use bioballs in my 2213 canister filter?? Will I get better results than the usual stuff? or will it be worse?

Hi,
I personally prefer only sponges. Cheap, easy to clean and provide a large surface area for bacteria.

I prefer sponges too. You can cut and fit to the shape of your canister. Large pore sponges for inside. Small pore for prefilter on intake tube ;D

thanks for the inputs. I have bioballs in hand, I wont buy them. So is it better to use them in the eheim 2213 than the usual stuff?? or, should I use only sponges?? I hope this time it is clear :)

If I had both bio balls and sponges I would use the sponges. If the sponges don't fill the canister add bio balls.
