Make tap water PH 6.5

Hi all;

I am new to Discus. My first question to help me started is how to make water for Discus. All I have now is tap water, what is the easiest way to lower the PH so I can change water daily. Thanks.

Discus will do perfectly fine in regular tap water. Just make sure it is free from chlorine, chloramines, and ammonia. And make sure that when you fill the tank, the new water is the same temperature. I suggest you read through the forum to learn more helpful tips. HTH

The first thing you want to do is put a cup of water on the counter. Measure the pH. Tomorrow (after the water has set on the counter overnight) measure the pH again. Post both numbers here and we can give your more advice. I bet you will not need to change your pH at all ;D
