I will ask this here even though I am not a beginner by any means in regards to discus. I recently purchased some really small discus (about 1") to grow out. Out of the 16 of these purchased about a month ago 2 very healthy looking ones had suddenly passed on to the great river in the sky. Is it normal to experience such losses? are such losses more prevalent in smaller discus? are they prone to stroke or some rapidly developing malody which seemingly can strike perfectly healthy discus almost randomly? All of the rest of the fish are very robust-eat well and growing well. I have not had this happen very much in the past but every once in a while the Great Fisherman in the sky catches one. Would love to hear anyone's thoughts/experiences on this......
