its been about six week now with my first discus tank (BB with clean daily WC 25% and 50% twice a week) ... my fish are doing great and growing fast ... I feed them tetra bits, frozen blood worms, and some flake food (ocean nutrition formula 1)

I alternate the foods and feed about 4-6 times a day ... my fish are 2 1/2 to 4 inches and always hungry and well fed I hope ... is this diet okay? do I HAVE to make a beefheart mix to get a proper diet? can I just buy a pre-made beefheart mix?

any suggestions?

No, you don't have to make a beefheart mix. I don't feed beefheart at all. While a varied diet is best, you can grow them out on just a good quality flake or tetra bits.

I use Jack Wattley Discus Formula, CBW, Tetra Bits, and Hikari Blood Worms 3 times a day.
