I think that blue diamonds are gorgeous, but actually I have never seen a huge blue diamond, all of them seem to be a little small, the biggest I have own and seen has been 3"............does someone has a big blue diamond?? do you have pics of him??

Hi. no ive seen some massive beautiful blue diamonds.
check out Roy Khoos hatchery in singapore. he has extremely nice bd;s and large. his name on the forum is Zoids.
and he imports his fish through Cary at great lakes discus and Jason at superior discus.
im waiting for some as a matter of fact!!

Thats great. well tell Cary what your after . he will look after you well and he can maybe give you some tips on getting them nice and big.
im sure they will do fine.!! hes a great guy. ;D

This is one of Cary's. Got him when he was about 2".

Randy those doesn't looks like BD to me..BD should not have any pattern on their dorsal and anal fins and face should not have pattern as well..hope no offence is taken.

Some of my Friends BD they were around 7-8 inches from the tip of the nose to the end of the caudal fin :)
So theyre not really a small breed ;)
Sly my friend...no offense taken.....like I said it is a poor pic.......Yeah they are BD's ...I will take a better pic later today of them .........They are from a older strain which has not been crossed out yet into more of a Angel blue diamond strain like you see more of in todays market.

:o my blue diamonds have a chance to get that beautiful????? :P I'm feeding them white worms, tetra bits, redworms and the new formula one pellets. What else would be good for their growth? I wannum to grow biiiiig. ;D Maybe I can remember how to do the digital camera thingy and send some pics.

To answer the question about bds and size, the largest i have seen was at a discus show here in Oz, the body was a solid 7". Thats him below, not a good pic but shows how large he is.
