SLOW GROWTH

I have 4 small red turks and they seem to be taking a long time to grow is this normal i have them about 6-7 weeks now i feed them beefheart mix,bloodworms,tetra bits i do water changes every day with aged water my tank is18x18x48 they seem to eat what i give them. lots of black poo.also have p/blood and b/dimond in same tank the p/b grow very quickly then stop the b/diomand is growing a bit not much.at what rate should i expect them to grow at is there some kind of chart or is it just pot luck all of them came from lfs.

As a genereal rule pigeons grow faster than blue diamonds. Many discus do grow in fits and starts. Kind of like kids. Suddenly the pants legs are all too short, lol.

Lack of growth cold be for several reasons - most stem from less than perfect water or intestinal parasites.

Hey Terry, my pigeons grow around 1/2 inch per month. it's really depends on how often you do your W/C.

The more you do, the faster they grow! ;D ;D
