This sound very strange maybe, but I must ask. I was surfing and looking on several discus breeders sites in U.S. They were all selling discus by post orders to private persons.

Well in Sweden you seldom se this phenomena. If you sell to privet persons then the pet-shop or wholesale dealer don't buy your discus.

When you can buy as a privet person is if you have good contacts with a "wholesale dealer" or if the breeders and buyer is members in the same association (club), else you have to go through a pet-shop.

Wow, that sucks. You would think money is money no matter who's buying. So if I wanted quality discus I have to be a member of a club that the breeder is also a member of, otherwise I only have the fishstores to choose from? Do your fishstores have quality discus because here they rarely do.

Same here to a certain extent, i never run pvt ads to sell discus or else the local shops won't buy my fish which account for around 90% of my fish sales. I do get some pvt sales but that is from word of mouth from other discus breeders and hobbiests.
