Have thousands of small white dots in my water...doesn't look like anything dangerous...just means my filters should be rinsed down or whatdya think?

Would throwing the micron filter in my magnum for a few hours help?

I'm not all that experienced but the only time my tank does that is when my filter is mixing up my air.

Air goes into my hang over filter outlet and then mixes up big bubbles into tiny little ones. Also if my canister filter has air inside somewhere it does that.

I either move the air stone/bubbler to a different location or get pump all the air out of my canister.

You don't mean like that, do you?

Don't figure it's that, could even be small particles of dust that've collected in the trash cans I use for water changes overnight...

Micron filter cleaned most of it up, think it was just light particles that wouldn't settle...
