the top of the tank looks like very close to the top can u feed ur fishes and is maintaining it hard???

I made the stand when I was breeding Leopard Geckos, So the top design is not the greatest for fish. Work great for my lizards.
The top is in 3 sections. The middle has a pop up finger hole to take the center peice out. Then I have to remove the 2 side pieces. Then slide 2 lights back to get the tank open.
I've thought about making a new top on hinges with the lights attached so I just have to hinge it back, but I do not mind the little bit of extra work to get it open. I still have to finish the oak CD rack I'm building for my wife. It was supposed to be a Christmas present. All I have to do yet is get the shelves glued in.
