I have a Blue snakeskin that has a cloudy milky white section that only covers the inners of its right eye. I have been uping the water changes to 40%/day and i used melafix per directions and it is still there. My parameters are 7.0 ph 6.0°dh 4.0°kh and temp is 84°f. I beleive it has been like this for sometime,a couple months. What should i treat it with and what the heck is it? Thanks to all. I have attached a photo. Sorry its bad.

Usually water changes and salt fix cloudy eyes. There may not be much you can do if it has been this way for months. (I doubt melafix will help eyes)

Hi Geodiscus
Well its really hard to say whats going on! However being that it is inside of the eye I would guess that it may be cataract.
It could also be granulomas inside of the eye from a old battle with Tb that Your discus has beaten!
Another problem could also be digenetic trematodes that encapsulate into the eye However this is more so in wild Fish and I dought this would be Your problem but You never know now a days.
Really there is nothing You can do about Any of this and Your discus should live for many years to come as long as a secondary inffection does not attack the eye.
I would just keep a eye on him and make sure it does not spread to the other eye or grow bigger on the first eye.
If this happens feel free to contact Me aquastrong@aol.com

Currently I am giving him a dose of kanacyn.I think his eye maybe too far gone. I dont know.Would a one eye discus have a harder time spawning?

All depends on the discus and how much fight he has in left in him
