This project cost me about 18 bucks
14 for the lightings fixture and 3 for the blue caps which i used to connect the wires . The pictures are bad maybe someone has already done this but yeah i juss figure it out so tell me what you think

Good for you! Its much better and compacter than trying to fit the whole fixture, isnt it? ;) And its not even that hard! ;) You dont need to spend hundreds of dollars for a simple light! ;)

Thanks for the pics! ;D I always love seeing 'success' and someone saving money by diy! ;D

That's the advantage to standard tank sizes!

If you can use 24" or (better) 48" lights you can save a TON o cash by setting up your own lights, even when it needs to be bright for plants.

I backed myself in to a corner and need 18" lights- make/buy was the same price... Lots.. )-:
