aggression

hi, i posted in another section but i wanted to post in the beginner section. I have a 55 gallon that had 5 discus, a tiny plecco, 2 clown loaches. Now one discus died. Could aggression be from too few discus? My ph is usually around 7.3 with peat in my filters. I have plenty of plants and wood for hiding places.

Death is more likely from illness. If discus are new illness probably came with them, if had discus for awhile probably from stress due to water quality, harassment, or illness from newly introduced plants or fish.

Your Probably Right Carol. thats what it sounds like to me. Always be sure of your source for your fish. Make sure the fish are Quality Discus Buy from a reputable source and not the pet shop.
