Hi all,
I visited David Webber's about 2 weeks ago. It was a really great trip and Though the steak he grilled was awesome, and The homebrew I brought was memorable.... The wilds there were really something to behold. It was tough not to buy a small fortunes worth, though I did pick up a few ;) :) couldn't resist. I also was hard pressed to not get hooked on rays...what a cool creature. I can see why he likes them.

I had visited Wilddiscus.com when David was in Manhatten, Ny. and that was not a pleasant drive...where he is now in upstate Ny is definetly better. As I told him ..hes farther away now..but closer because I won't mind the drive. Not sure thats good financially, but Its nice to have a good importer of wilds within drive distance.

I promised David that I would not go over board on the pic posting, but heres a few that I would like to share.

If you haven't heard, David will be one of our speakers at the Northeast meeting this march 6. If you want to talk to someone with alot knowledge on wild discus and rays I have to say that you should come to the meeting if you can, visit David online at wilddiscus.com or visit in person in upstate Ny.

Hope you all like the pics... They aren't even a fraction of what I saw there!

These are yours Martin..I just gotta get it together & get each one of them frequent flyer miles before I send them to you ...one of us should be due a freebie soon

:)

& there are many many nice fish still here..with more beauties arriving regularly...I am determined to get some of you folks into the rays...they are fantastical creatures surely not 'of' this world....and with discus husbandry as a base they are a breeze to keep...

hi David,

They are wonderful discus to have and the rays are very nice too. The trouble for keeping ray is space and floor area.

How about tea-cup rays or miniture sized one? From time to time we do see a few of these rays at the LFS. We do not have the knowledge to keep them.

Meanwhile, I love my discus too much!

Looks like a GREAT time!!!! Great fish and great people!!!
David's setup is impressive. I hope to one day work with some of his wilds to develop some fish I have always wanted to work on.
