View Full Version : What is "WWFF" registration mean?

I received some Red Eye Blue diamonds from a breeder Marked" WB22(WWFF)" and another one CH27 these are registered BD. What does it mean? Are "WB" and "CH" representing the breeder's name and who are these people? How can I find out the origin of the fish? Is there a registration index from WWFF that I can check?

Thanks Yogi. That's where WB22 came from, a registered True blue diamond. Is it the naming standard of discus directory? I also found out who bled the Ch27. It's Mr. Cheun Wai Shing. Learn something new everyday. A Red Eye Blue Diamond.

April: Just give me 6 months. I'll be shipping by then. I'll name my first White Cloud Leopard fry As April.1, April.2 and so on.

It seems like each individual fish farm has their own naming index and it's quite easy to identify the origin of the fish. WB66 stands for WWFF BLUE #66 F66. FSB3-Schmidt Focke Blue F3. The White Cloud Leopard for April. will be APW1. Is that correct?
Then Cary's F2White butterfly is CSW2. Everybody will know the origin of the fish and their breeder.

A good read of how the Blue Diamond was developed by WWFF. Originated from Dr. Edward Schmidt Focke's SFB1. No need to download the language. It has English translation.

May be we can start our North American Simply registration of our discus. People will know where is APW1,CSW1 came from and JLR1. That's my red turquoise. JLG1 will be Golden. JLY1- Yeloow Canary and JLG25. My golden Leopard after 25 broods. How's that sound?

Rick: A branded Iron is faster. Stop when you see smoke. ;D

Jason: Yes and No. Out of 68 fish I shipped. 2 died with water leak in the box. All went through the quarantine and 3 out of 4 large breeder Leopard SS from western Asia did not pass the deworming process. They had very large round worms internally, bloated and died. The last one still shedding fluffy white feces and has not been eating for the last 2 weeks. These fish were heavily hormoned and worthless. I will not order from them again. Cost me $400US per fish. Fish from China, Taiwan, Japan and Hong Kong are all healthy and some had minor Hex. due to stress and now on the final stage of quarantine mixing with my own locally bred discus and are doing fine.
