Hi, I finally got some discus but their growout water is 7.2 ph and mine is 7.6 is this going to be a problem? I have them floating right now... My temp is 86*....should I just add some tank water to the bag a little at a time like usual or is there something else I should do?

Thanks
Shive

equalise the temp and just add them straight to the tank. an increase in Ph may lead to ammonium being converted to ammonia... not good

But no, the pH change should not be an issue at all for the fish.

equalize temp. then grab them and plop them in. that is what i did with jeff fish i got, his ph was lower than mine, and all my fish are doing great. I wouldnt slowly add your water, that just gives an increased chance of an ammonia burn from the waste in the bag.

Thanks everyone. I did just what you said! I got the temp equalized and then added them to the tank. I threw the tank water they came in out!

Thanks
