What's the best way to cut acrylic? I have to cut a channel 2" wide by 12" long along the top of an acrylic tank I have. Need suggestions pronto.
Thanks.

use a roto-zip to cut the channel, then buff and sand the cut after.
practice on a piece of scrap first! its not difficult just requires technique.

I agree.....
mask the area to be cut....makes it easier to mark a line and helps against chips....set yourself up with a guide you can run the tool against.....it can be hard to cut a straight line with if your not a pro....

Thanks,
I borrowed the rotozip from a friend. Fortunately I'm halfway decent with tools.

If you can, leave the corners round, pre drill them.
