are the pushfit pipes from the diy store are safe to use for centralised system?

Hi,
Im not exactly sure what you mean by 'pushfit' pipes? Do you mean a PVC or ABS pipe? Grey, white or black? I use all 3 types. If your wondering if you can use just slipfit (pushfit) instead of glueing them together, yes and no! For piping intended for filling tanks, sumps, etc, you will need to glue them but piping used for draining (no pump inline), you get use slipfit with the addition of telfon tape. ;)

thanks for the reply. I will be using the white pvc pushfit pipe(this is what they call it in the uk) for the overflow.
