Water test?

Hi All,
i have a tetratest for nitrate. if i have 50mg/l what is my ppm? the water test i received from my water company said i have an average of 6.2 ppm and up to 9.3 ppm. How does that compare to 50mg/l? That is what my tap water tests at.

50.....Milligrams/Litre is the same as "parts per million"

50 mg/L is WAY too high for discus...you should be shooting for somewhere between 5-10.

the discus tank is only 12 mg/l after treating with amquil plus and a nitro pillow.
my tap water has 50 mg/l.
