anyone have experience with the 1" discus at Great Lakes Discus? Sounds very interesting.Wondering how many for what price and how they turned out.You know, how many turned out like mom & dad, what strains you got or any other info you might think relative. He doesnt have any of the little guys now but I,m considering all my options for later.

John Nicholsan at daah.info also sells some 1" fish at $10.

Check him out as he is well respected.

Hi kaceyo,

I've ordered 1" fish from Cary before, and was extremely happy. If you give them proper feedings and water changes you're fish won't stay that size for very long, and yes you will be able to distinquish color characteristic early on.

Just remember.....the small ones are less$$, but you need to feed more often and do at least 50 percent Wcs per day.
If you are a newbie to discus, I would not get discus smaller than 2.5" JMO :bandana: :fish: :fish:

I prefer to get my fish at 1" and I alwalys order from Cary. while your fish are small they do better in larger groups and buying at 1" you can afford to buy 20. Heres a link for the fish I got from Cary. The pictures are when the fish were 6 months old.
