RE-caulking

Getting ready to re-caulk a 30 tall. Does any one have any experience removing the top and bottom plastic trim rings? Want to reuse so don't want to destroy them.

Be sure not to break them (plastic trim).
I use a thin paring knife to break the seal between the trim and the glass on both the inside and outside of the glass, (Be careful, easy to cut yourself)
once the seal is broken on the trim sides the top seal usually lets go with a little pulling.

Note: I usually don't pull the trim I just pull all the silicon off the inside with a razor, clean with acetone (Use Respirator or do outside) and recaulk the inside.
