how to post pictures

I tried to add a picture to a post in one of the other discussion subjects , I don't succeed. I clicked to "attach" button on the input form and I can then browse my PC. I select the path, click "open" and then the path on my computer to the picture shows in the attachment field. But when previewing or uploading nothing appears ( size is 53kb ) .
Where do I look for a problem or is it impossible to upload from local PC?

Have you read this thread from the photo section? IF that doesn't help go to the photo section and ask for pointers.

Unfortunately, you cannot "preview" a post with a picture attached, or the picture is lost. Are you having the same problem when you only hit the "post" button?
