Well,my beauties will be here sunday.I asked Danny how I should acclimate his fish and was told mostly the standard stuff like add 1 tblspn. aquar.salt p/10gls. place fish and bag water in bucket and drip tank water in till 50% ea.bag and tank water, pour out half and repeat, twice. But what threw me was I'm supposed to lower tank water temp to 78dgrs,as that would probably be temp of bagwater by the time it got to me,and slowly raise to 86dgrs over next few days.He said he doesn't use heatpacks when weather is as hot as its been.what are your methods, reccomendations under these sircumstances?I just havn't heard of lowering the temp lie that for new fish and wanted some opinions of this method.Thanx, kaceyo P.S. He also said to lower the ph to 6.5 but i'm gonna skip that step as suggested by so many.

Well, it's easy to have your tank temp be 82 upon arival and raise it 86/88 once fish are in tank.

Yes,I know its easy.It was 78,not 82.Nevermind I guess.

Easy for discus to go from 78 to 82 rather than 78 to 88 ;)

That makes sense.I'm just overthinking things, making them more complicated in my mind than they are.I'm just not used to hearing 78dgrs in Discus conversations, and it threw me.I want to make sure I do it RIGHT! Thanx Carol, kaceyo
