Hi all,
Are their any particular corydoras species that would go well in a planted discus tank? I've heard that some tend to be nocturnal, but can find no difinitive information on this.

I like corydoras panda. Bear in mind cories do like an open space to forage for food, so don't cover the entire ground of the tank.

Corydoras sterbai (expensive though) and corydoras aenus (albino and bronze cories) have worked pretty well for me.

Not all corydoras species can handle high temperatures. I have had success with

Corydoras aeneus
Corydoras sterbai
Corydoras panda (only adults)
Corydoras metae
Corydoras julii
Corydoras robineii
Corydoras adolfi

Don't believe Corydoras paleatus can handle 84F. I have also been unable to keep Corydoras trilineatus.

I've had Panda Corys spawn successfully in a planted discus tank. The babies were so cute!

wow, you spawned pandas :D

panda's seem to be abit sensitive and difficult to keep here in SG.
definitely one of my favourites.

willie's list is a good reference.
maybe also try yellow cats.

I've kept bronze and skunk corys at temperatures up to 90 degrees. All are healthy, fat, and happy.

ive kept paleatus cory's quite hap[pily in a 84+ degree discus planted tank
they loved to come to the feeding cone and compete with the discus for bloodworms.

I have albino's and Panda's in a QT tank. Couldn't believe there is such a difference between species. The Panda's are so sedate I wonder if they are alive whereas the albino's are in constant motion (except when there's food.
