Has anyone ever heard of or know about Topfin brand aquariums? I can get a 55gl with full hood (plastic, not wood) for $99.00 at the PetSmart here. A PenPlax is the same but w/out any top at all which adds at least $50 for glass lids and strip lights via mailorder. Kaceyo
All my 55's, 20's and 29's are Topfins from Petsmart and I've never had a problem at all.
You can't beat the price because it includes a full hood and lights!

kayceyo,
I've never seen one at the stores locally, nor have I heard about them. However, around here at least, the smaller lfs's have much better prices on tanks than the bigger name stores. You might want to check around.

Brian, thats it exactly. good price and better than glass lids w/strip lights. Judy, I have found just the opposite here. The smaller lfs can't order as many at a time so don't get the price breaks to be able to sell for less. Thanx guys, Kaceyo
WOW... you're lucky!!
Here, Petsmart is about double the lfs on everything!

Topfin is a Perfecto made tank. I always used to use all-glass exclusively until one time I wanted to fill a spot in the house. A 5ft. tank was needed and perfecto sold a 120gal. that fit the job perfectly. I liked it so well I bought another one. They seem to be as well made as all-glass. Only Oceanic appears to still use thicker glass in their tanks now.

I have one of there 55's. Only problem mine is tempered glass all panels. Real bummer now as I want to drill sides for draining, etc.
They have a sticker on bottom that tells what panels are tempered.
