Hi all,
I think we need a Site Holiday...so I guess I'll start one.... Today is officially....

Honor Your Favorite Fish Day... In celebration of this historic Day I think it would be great to post a picture of your Favorite Discus. Feel free to share any info you want about it. Your Favorite doesn't have to be your best, and this post isn't about top quality. Anyone that has a favorite knows what I mean here.. :)

Its just about giving alittle recognition to the Discus in your tank that you like the best. :)

So lets see them favorites!

Here's my personal favorite... the one just left of the CD. He holds that title, for no other reason, than he was our first discus. So call me sentimental! ;D

Here's my favourite, Julie, sadly she died March 9, 04. I miss her every day.

She was the most amazing fish and people who visited me and saw her go though her routines were in shock that a fish would react to me the way that she did. She learned some basic routines which 'we' repeated every day - she would hide, then appear, hide again, appear... like a game. Amazingly she remembered these routines. When she wanted attention, she'd bite on the glass and wouldn't stop until I sat at her tank, one time her heater stuck and the temp was up over 102 degrees, she banged and banged and banged on the glass, finally, very frustrated I went to see what she wanted -- jammed heater!

I have never seen a fish fight like this one did. Her other 10 tankmakes died at 4 months old, she fought for 2 years, some good days, some not good days.

Here's mine, he's my only fish with a name... Sheefu.

Well, he was my first discus that made it past the first 2 weeks, and is still my first "success" story.

He also has loads of personality and I think he's a cute little bugger :D.

My favorite. Because of the unique colors. But also has a lot of personality. He survived a huge hyde accident without a single scratch. Very hardy fish that comes to greet you when you walk up to the tank..

I am very happy he is in good hands now.
