I noticed that John Nickelson's site Daah) has been down for a few days and I'm wondering if it's because no one is managing it. Brew must be putting in a lot of hours into managing this site and we need to give him some financial support for his efforts. I suggest we organize a commitee to develop a plan for doing this. There are enougth active members here to make occassional small contributions that would solidify this site.
I don't think "oh well, send in a contribution once in a while" will get the job done. A plan to structure an affordable membership fee, perhaps as little as $5 a month paid thru Pay Pal could work?

Hi Bernie,
It's a nice gesture. We do accept donations through the link at the top of the forum, but as always this is a free service to our members and donations are not required.
I don't think DAAH was a financial issue. Things will hopefully be ironed out there soon and they can get things back in business.

Oh geez, just so ya know, i think that WAS john Ns way of managing. He got rid of all the mods that he didnt like
Travis,
I'm sure there are many details that you, me and many others are not privy to. So let's keep the assumptions to ourselves, ok?

Since DAAH is down, seems like a good time to finally "officially" join Simply. ;)
IMO though, I really don't think required financial support would sit too well with the majority of the forum members, but I could be wrong.

I think Simply has diplomatically avoided getting dragged into the current daah issue and I think that is very good. DAAH has a few current problems, kinda like life.....things will resolve themselves according to the characters of the parties directly involved.
Hi Derrick... here's your "official" Welcome!!! We're glad to have you!

And you all are certain that it just wasn't hacked like Aquaria Central was?
Honestly, guys, I thought I was banned when I read that YaBB gobbledegook. Phew!
Believe you me guys, daah is in great hands. The only serious contribution you guys can make is by logging on and writing some serious stuff there.
It's tough on John, but he will come out shining.
