Scribble Fish?

Greetings all. I just purchased a discus called a scribble. It looks like some sort of fancy turquoise. Has anyone seen or heard of such?

You are correct. It is just a Turk that happens to have a pattern consisting of a mixture of horizontal and vertical stripes which creates a nice pattern.

Some also call this variety of a Turk a Maze.

check out www.lewisdiscus.com under striated. he has very nice scribbles.as a matter of fact..im on the wait list. my favourite fish of his. maybe Rod can elaborate on his family tree of the scribble.

LOL Cary...

Wanna sell me the fish top right? Looks a lot like mine:) I am interested tho...the top and bottom fins have that "hand-painted look" That perfect lil circle pattern that makes the fish appear larger and rounder. I am interested in keeping that trait with offspring. Would 2 scribbles keep that look? I'm borrowing a digital camera so I can get her pic.

Right now she seems to be pairing with my black ghost:/

Please bear in mind all, the glass wasn't dirty...that's beefheart/cbw/bloodworm debris...as I just fed the fish...filter pulls it up fast in that spot.
