Hia all ;D

Im Jimmy from Sweden and im new to this Forum

I have a 250 Gallon tank that is CO2 injekted , all is monitored by a PH controller that regulates the CO2.

Now the PH controller is set at 6.8 but the controller takes the PH down to
6.7 before it turns the CO2 of, and it goes all the way up to 6.9 before it starts injekting CO2 again.

This happens a few times daily, and it takes a few hours for this cycle to repeat itself.

Now im planning on getting Diskus into the tank next week but im not sure how they will cope with the PH swings.

Anyone who knows ?

Best regards jimmy

PS: please forgive my bad spelling and gramma ::)

Welcome,

My planted discus tank also experiances the same pH swings, 6.6 - 6.8. The fish all seem to be fine, they eat well and look good. That small swing is not somethig I would worry about.

As mentioned, such a small swing is nothing to worry about. Just keep an eye on it and be aware of any ph swings of 0.5+!
