Hi,

I have an acrylic tank that leaks. Basically, 1/2 of the front panel doesn't stick with the base any more. I tried to use the silicon Aquarium sealant but it doesn't work because it can't get in between the front plexi glass and the base to glue them. I heard about methylene chloride (or methylene di-chloride) but I don't know the commercial name and where I can find it in SoCal. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Go to any arts and crafts store or a store like Home Depot and ask for Acrylic cement...it looks like a clear liquid with a tiny brush in the bottle..I have a friend that is a nurse so I use a hypo needle...also get a large pipe clamp...get the clamp ready by the tank....use the glue and run it into the seam then lightly clamp it and use more glue, make sure you can see it run into the seam.. then clamp it tight...By the morning the leak will be fixed....I fix plastic tanks all the time..

Make sure the seam is dry.
