Has anyone experimented with setting a bare bottom tank on top of a mirror to get a depth of field affect?

Highfive,
I have done that once. It only confuses them and becomes disoriented.

Plus, the glare from the lighting becomes too intense.
Highfive,
I once used some cork sheeting to set a tank upon..it was not glued or attached to the bottom so there was a gap between the glass bottom and the cork...it created a mirror effect.....so from experience..."IT SCARED the HECK out of my Discus and they never got used to it"...
IMO not recommended,
Tad

Thanks for the reply, Tad. Your experience is all I needed to hear. No mirrors for me.
