With unforeseen events, I must hang up my hobby in keeping fish. :'( :'( :'(

Yeah, things are tight for me as I have to relocate and also purchase my own PC or lappy. My children are getting older and their demands are a lot more than it was just two years ago.

The many things I got from this forum are experiences, good advice, attention and cool members who like dropping me a line or two to say "Howdy". I appreciate everyone and their services (thanks to Heppner who got me "hooked on a bait-line to discus" ;D and Alfonso and his wife Anna for their fine Wilds and Oliver and Ken Davis for their patience and understanding in my purchases of their Wilds and catfish :D and Discus Dance Nades for those precious blue diamonds (Although I haven't seen any postings from Nades in a bit -- I sure hope all is well with Nades). These people inspired me, as well, to stay in the hobby as long as I can make possible. Thank you!!

To my buddies in Ozland: Yippy and Ping! You two have my e-mail addys and tellie. Keep me in touch! Yippy I hope to see you in December in NYC so bring some tall-boots for the snow. I'll have the shovels ready. LOL

To my buddies in the Arctic arena: Jules & Oliver, best regards. Again keep me updated! I surely would love to hear from ya.

And, Mike Heppner, you got my data too so keep me posted to your fine catch from Asia! Best of luck to everyone. To Al, Brewski, You're the best! And, thanks for your persistance and understanding. Carol, you're the best! To Jeep..You're the best toO! To Santafediscus....You're awesome! Keep up the great work in that fishroom of yours. Maybe one of these days I hit jackpot and I may call ya up to build me a HOUSE. LOL

Susan & Tad, you're beautiful! Thanks for your advice! And, Mr. & Mrs. Anthony Stoute, best wishes and love to you two!

It's been a swell time and I had a lot of fun!

Oh, just letting you know, that Fry Girl will always be in the forum just that I won't be logging on for a while till I get my own PC. After buying PCs from since 1985 to now, I got sick of buying my 4th PC, so I began borrowing PCs. LOL

I'm waiting for the most invaluable PC to come out so there will be some kind of longevity in keeping it. LOL

Best wishes to you,

**Angie**

P.S.

I'm going to post auction for the stock I have. I may possibly give it away for free since I am not looking for $$$. I'll let everyone know. Perhaps Al, you can help me do this towards the funding of Simply Discus. I'm in Brooklyn, NY. A skip away. Drop me an e-mail. Thanks!

This is a sad day for all of us. Keep your tanks just in case. I know you'll be back. You'll have a void in your time and you'll miss the fishes. Maybe keep one tank with your favorites.
Sorry to see you leave Angie. If you ever get back into the hobby give me a hollah.

Hi, all!

I hope it will be only a temporary thang. : )

Thanks for you fine folks support and wishes.

I just thought I'd post some better resolution pictures of the stock in hand. I count on the days of returning to you all.

Best regards,

You can see in the reflection in the above photo that I have on stock for medicinal supplies my Tea Tree Oil (LOL). :D

Those clown loaches are at 4-5 inches. The smallest one is about now at 3.5". There are 11 of them! :o

10-03-2004, 12:43 AM
:D Yeah a bit overcrowded. But I like colors and the feeling of true river flowing filled with fish, crustaceans and live plants, etc. However, my PennPlax driftwood is 100% dead. :D

10-03-2004, 12:44 AM
I got about seven blue diamonds at around the 4-5 inch size. They're mating among the curipera and/or the tangerines (or goldens). :D Very adorable!

10-03-2004, 12:45 AM
lots of photos; goes to show ya how much I adore the aquatic life! :D

10-03-2004, 12:46 AM
There's that PennPlax driftwood. ;D

The log in the background of the above photo is the Cell-Pore log. This breaks down the ammonia (fish waste and fish food) in the tank. Very helpful but can injure frantic discus if the discus jolts into it. I have two round jars encasing it. ;D

This is an angel that I just recently got for my daughter. Not a very friendly angel I might add. Seems to bother and frighten the discus. ;D

10-03-2004, 12:50 AM
A heckel discus. :)

10-03-2004, 12:52 AM
In "QT-tank" for skin abrasions are a few blue diamonds. The angels frightened these guys until they turned dark colored. They eat like pigs and make poo but were really turned off by angel fish. :D

Last shot of "QT-Tank" and photo shoots.

Thanks for looking. :D

Angie,

I'm so sorry to hear this! :'( We all do what we have to.

Do yourself a favor, and put one tank aside for down the road...you'll be glad you did.

Sooner or later you'll be back in the hobby...hopefully sooner. ;)

Thanks for your support and wishes. And you're absolutely correct! When it comes down to family, this comes first.

I want to again thank those of you who I've forgotten to mention earlier such as Ikey (Aloha_Ike, a great big Mahalo to ya ;) ;)), Howie, Jack (Discus KC), Walter (Wahter), David Webber (Wildthing), Menchy (Ron), Jean (Jeanie-Bo-Beanie), Ardan, Chad, and all the GM's. You dolls and guys are the bomb! Truly inspirational and very smart. I like reading new ideas and DYI's from you.

I may not be able to post after this evening since I'm at work now, again borrowing a PC. LOL I'll check later for PCs when the all-in-one unit comes about (and I'll check with HenryD as Al stated too for this unit).

Oh, by the way, that bucket with my blue diamonds in it (above photo), my son didn't know why the fish were trying to jump out of the "cutie-tank". The airpump (battery operated) died, and so did the fish (all 5 of them) in a heated 5-gallon bucket at 93 F degrees. It really is a sad day for me! :-[ So in order for this not to occur again I'm going to donate the fish, but keep the tank as many of you know more better -- that it can happen to an avid discus lover-- the return of discus tanks.

Al, check your PM box. I will be about until early morning Monday.

Best wishes,
*Angie* :D

Okay, but the phone call (this time) is on me, Ikey! :D I'm ending my status as of this morning. Just logged in to see what was up and saw the latest postings. But that will be all for me. Wishing you well, Mahalo ... :-*

Take care! *Angie*
