Time to say goodbye to my hobby

Discus has been giving me lotsa pleasure and also enable me to meet many friends. But at the same time it has also took up a lot of my time hence neglecting other aspect of my life so now it's time to move on and hopefully when everything settle down later I would be able to come back to the hobby again. My site Discusrealms.com will still be around though.

I thank those who have supported me in discusrealms and I hope you continue to support me and jeff although I have given up the hobby, I have not gave up this site. You will still be able to see me and I will still be around to give advices if needed. Maybe I just need a good break after so many years. Once again thank you.

You have been a best friend to me and a mentor. I know this is just temp because it's in your blood. I know how you feel and how it has a hold of you because I'm the same. I also know at points of your life it can be a burden rather than fun. That is what you have at this time. As things settle down I can only hope that the lure of discus pulls you back again to what ever level you desire. You have been my friend and I know you will continue to be there in the future.

bummer Sly.. know how it works though.. I got the old "you love your fish more than me" a few weeks ago while my tank was having problems and demanded more attention than usual... luckily she accepted the reason, the tank stabilized, and now things are back to normal, but.. I'm sure it'll come up again and I'll have to pull back some too..

I am sorry to see you getting out Sly, but I understand...Probably better than Most. sometimes the passion for the Hobby and this fish consumes us until we lose ourselves...you'll be back when you find yourself again. :)

We all need a break after awhile, and try to sort out what will be the next fish to keep. Resently I tried pleco. Little maintanence and a lot of fun! Water change once a week!
