I just bought a red jewel cichlid among 4 other fish (fire mouth, texas cichlid, jack densey, and a pink convict all in a 55 gallon) for the startup in my fish tank. I noticed that the red jewel now has clamped fins all around including the back fin (for lack of better words). All the other fish are fine but the red jewel just has the clamped fins and is breathing hard. I fed the fish and it ate but I don't know if it is just stressed from the trip from the store to my house or of an existing ailement. I have salt in the water and treated the water with "cycle" for nitrates. If anyone would give me a heads up or tell me when I should be worried that would be great.

You might also want to know that the texas cichlid will grow to large for the 55g, so you may want to return him. That will also ease up your heavy bioload.
