"Green Water"

I have a 30 gallon bare bottom tank with 5 juvenile discus. I went out of town for the Holiday and when I came home my tank is green! Green algae in the water and green algae on the sides of the glass? HELP!

Green algea won't hurt the discus. Does the tank get lots of light? If yes, cut back light. Do you use powders to change pH? If yes, some have phosphates that increase algae.

Wipe down walls and do extra water changes. It should get back to normal in a few days.

I will keep the light off and make more water changes and see
if that will make a difference. Also I do not add anything to adjust the ph, It's
about 6.5. Thanks Carol :)
