hmmm is it a tricky question or ... ;) ok the very first ide is to GET a HAGEN heater with "old fashioned" thermostat - the one with "knob" at the top - turn it as much as you need ( heater won't stop running ) THAT REQUIRES YOUR ATTENTION cuz u don't realy know on what temperature did u "set" your heater ... go all the way on "new" thermostat and later keep turning old fashioned thermostat's knob so it will increase your temperature SLOWLY letting you manipulate the temperature in a quite safe way ...

( that's how I do it and knowing myself there may be some better ways ;)

I thought ebo's went to 93  if money isn't a major issue, get a separate controller and slave your ebo's to it..

Getting a seperate controller will not help if the heater has an internal thermostat. When water gets to 93 internal thermostat shuts down. Onlt way around it is to get heaters with seperate sensors like my ProHeat, then you can cut the heater wires and run directly to a temperature controller.

My experience with heater, even the identical brands, is that some will heat higher than others.

Also suggest using higher wattage than you normally do. I use a 300 on a 29 when trying for high temps, 29 is insulated too.

I corrected spelling to make meaning clear :)

Hi Marco164,

I agree with VOYTEK, You can get another " no subarime heater" you can make more than 94 F , but don't let them cook up Discus!!

You have to keep eye on the tempture and heater to make sure the tempture is correct.
