Sold my last few Discus. As their number declined, I was surprised with the size that the final 2 put on. I measured them as 6 1/2" TL when I removed them last night. I didn't think it would be possible for them to grow another 1/2 to 3/4" in 3 months when they are well over 18 months old now. Guess not being picked on by the larger Discus helped. Anyway, I let them go for $20 a piece. Just wanted them gone so I didn't have to fret over them while I was away for 3 weeks. So it's just 24 Cardinals, 6 Ottos & 6 Sterbais for me at the moment.
I like Lance's Blue Snakeskins, Jack's Mandarin Passions and Brew's Altums.
Still wouldn't mind picking up some common brown juveniles too. Tough to decide which to go for next time. Have about a month to think about it.
I have to tell you, it's a little liberating knowing I don't have to do a water change tonight. I'll do one early Wednesday morning before I leave, but that's it. The fish will do fine for 3 weeks.
