My first Wild...HELP Al!!

Found some wilds that were labled as heckels and blue heckles...However leave it to me to pick the one I'm pretty sure ISN'T a heckle. Been in captivity for 3 weeks...Al can ya clue me in on what it is?
Sorry the pic isn't the highest quality, but he's in Quarantine, stuck in 10 gal atm....and I took one shot....didn't want to stress him out.

I'm not Al but I would say pretty confidently that what you havethere is a Royal Blue.

Hi Robin,

I agree with Peter. Heckels have a prominent center bar and usually a very dark Eye bar. The striations this fish bears and the lack of prominent bars would make me think royal Blue.


It looks thin so be sure to be careful with him.

Here he is settling down in his 90g. I gotta say, watching him swim, the turns, stops...he is quite powerful compared to domestics. Such a thrill to watch.
