i went to my lfs the other day and they had some nice healthy lookin PB's bout 4 inch'sgot htem home and they are doing fine. my thing is that i put a divider in the hospital tank it's a 29gal and every mourning i come in and they are on the same side of the divider that happened 3 times so i just left it out
i don't know what a par do together cause i have never hade a pair they swim together back and forth and up an down they are always next to each other until it's time to eat they don't keep the other from eating but they get agressive not real bad but one will try and keep the other one on one side is that normal :confused:

Sounds pretty normal, it's natural that one would try and get the lion's share of the food... two is a bad number for just that reason as eventually one will begin asserting itself more and the other will suffer :(

... Discus are schooling fish so the swimming together is normal too..

nothing you described though would indicate they're making plans for a family though ... sorry :D Given time though, who knows :)

i have a big tank with 5 other discus in there they will be in the hospital tank till i know they are clean. so a pair would not fight over food?
