I know of a lady in Miami named Silva Lacey. She co-authored one of the first discus books, and deals mostly in Turqoise, PB's and Alencer's. I found her on ebay of all things, and ordered some fry off her. The turqoise were beautiful, and she threw in an extra. Her email is laceysilva@hotmail.com
The PB's are very strange to look at...Very dark burnt orange with blue lines coming on. However they are heavily peppered.
Posting a pic of one. I plan on keeping these little pigeons and try to clean up the peppering in the future. All the fish you see actually are from her except for the lil runt in the top of the first one....He was a freebie with a tank purchase and 2 yrs old...juvies are 6 mos now, approximately as they were from different parents, and different sizes when purchased.

Thank you robin. My son is in FL for the week and wants to hook up with some discus fans. He and I have some lemon yellows, golds, and red albinos now. Hope to breed in the future. Tanks again for the info.

There are a bunch of central FL breeder's/hobbiests!! Im about 20 miles straight West of Orlando, Roger is about 15 minutes NE of Orlando, Bryant is about 15 minutes N of Orlando. There are many more. Let me know what you are looking for in terms of fish and i'll point you in the right direction ;) .

LOL, that's just in the Orlando area...If you head towards Tampa you could see Brian or if you go down South (miami) you could go see Tony, Gabe, Alberto, Jerry and a bunch more.

Wow, Ryan, where? lol
I'm getting back into discus after having had to tear my tanks down for personal/time reasons, and my sister "borrowing" them for several years. Now I've set it all back up again, and I can't find ANYTHING around here. We didn't have a computer or anything when I last bought fish, so I've always tried to find a decent retailer to work with.
In looking in the phone books though (I'm on the northeast side of the Orlando area) I've only found 4 pet/aquarium shops left within a roughly 15 mile radius, and they now deal exclusively with salts or maybe 50-75% salts and the rest Africans. I'm having to order supplies off ebay! It's a shame when Petsmart and Walmart have the best variety and selection around for most aquarists (hmm, need to open aquarium shop for the rest of us, The Other Side Of the Tank (tracks) lol).
Where are all these breeders hiding? And will they sell to someone who doesnt plan on showing, or breeding (though my fish always had other ideas)?
I don't mind driving as far as Miami for them either. I had some PBs when I sold my fish off, they always had the peppering and I thought it one of their most beautiful features.

Where at near Orlando are you? Im in Clermont, which is straight West of Orlando off of 50. I have some fry available if you're wanting to get back into it. I also know of a guy who is in Lake Mary who has some nice 3" PB's for sale. Send me an email at this same screen name. Let me know what you're looking for :)
