Hi, has anyone read this book? It is just published in Feb 2005.
I am wondering if it differs from the last publication and what Oliver Lucanus has contributed.

Thanks,
Julie

I dont really know about it. Have anyone here read some good books of discus? Can recommend some?

I have read one Jack Watley's Discus breeding. It is meant for beginners. It's not bad. When i went to bookstore and flicked through the books available, they are of similar pattern in organisation. for example, they have similar content page and chapters. I wondered which are the better ones for beginner to learn more than just fundamentals.

I can't get many good books about discus in the nearby bookstore. I guess it's better to order online but i dont have master/visa cards. :( life of poor student.
Thanks

I recently read a book by Hans Myland, I think it was called Journey with Discus. A good amount about wilds and where they occur etc. Interesting reading about his journey along the Amazon and it's tributaries.
Oliver's book sounds interesting.

No, I haven't, Jules, but it will be an exciting book I would imagine. Oliver Lucanus is an excellent and very credible photographer and I do believe he writes pretty often. He does filming pretty much, too, on exotic plants and of both non-aquatic and aquatic species.

Where did you learn about the new book? --Angie-

I am trying to get in contact with Oliver regarding different species of sa cichlids. I did a search and came up with his name under the book title. His website has been down for the past few days.

I have the first Discus Fish published in 91(I think) and it's quite informative. I don't agree with the water changes but it is packed with lots of other goodies; if you can get past the interesting appearance of the discus on the cover. ;)

I have his emai at home and will sent it to you this weekend. He has a minimum order requirement of US$200. I am also interested in Apistos. May be we can split an order?
