Peat

hello All
i was wondering if there is a rule of thumb for gallons/peat. I have a 125 gallon tank with 404 fluval.I dont have any discus yet as i am trying to get everything in order.I like the look of the water with the peat.

I was like you, using peat in my 404, but I stopped using it. I didn't see the advantage, my Discus are doing fine without it. My PH is at 7.4~7.6
