I really am...you only get in this situation once . starting out . I just bought 6 juvenile red melons from cary at GLD and now I have been trying to research and find another juvenile lot of a different strain to hopefully someday have a couple of pairs.

It is hard to direct yourself in the right direction for Good Quality stock. Cary for sure was a Good one, he has some beatyful fish. If you have any suggestions on where to go , PM me. I am open to the strain I buy next .

Funny how when those stands start showing up so do the tanks huh? Mysterious symbiotic relationship right there I tell ya.

Looks like you are putting the bonus room to good use :) So where you going to drain those upstairs tanks? Do you have a bathroom tub nearby?

Roberto. Red melons. Oh man those are beautiful fish. Fantastic choice!
I don't even like the color red that much.
But I saw some of JoyOfDiscus reds and they blew me away.
Pictures never do those fish justice imo.
I've heard nothing but good about Cary's fish so you starting out great.
I think if you read enough on here you'll read enough testimonies to give yourself a good idea where to try.
If you get a chance though to go personally visit a breeder that's lot of fun to.

Carol, there is bathroom next to the room. I wanted to install a high sink in the fish room since the plumbing is just behind the side wall but decided against it, at least for now. Right under the room is the garage and I just installed a shower stall on a stand for the wife to bathe our dogs, maybe I run a drain through the floor down to it.I just use the Python and drain. The Python takes a long time to drain the tank, I wonder if I used bigger id hose it would be faster . Hoped you enjoyed the pictures.

As far as discharge of your water goes if you have a garden near the house it's a great way to water your garden as not only are you saving water cost but the water is excellent for your plants.

A larger inside diameter hose will drain the tanks faster as gravity will be able to pull a larger volume of water through the hose

Hmmm, off topic here but oh well, lol just noticed in the last picture, the cat doesn't seem to be too awful impressed with the dog.

The cat loves dogs, plays and manipulates them very well but she does not like " puppies " and this is one of our breeding that we are babysitting until the National Specialty so she is not a happy camper (the cat I mean ).
